15.2 hands. She last raced in 2014 and retired sound. She spent several years being a successful broodmare with her last foal coming in 2021. She is now looking for her 3rd career. She is eligible for the Retired Racehorse Project Broodmare Division. She does have some arthritis in her left hind.
Yes My Love is a petite but solidly built mare who loves attention and learns quickly. She puts full effort into her arena rides and is trustworthy on group and solo farm rides even when she is nervous – she works through her concerns with just a moment to think and word of encouragement or a pat. She is currently learning to line up and stand quietly at the mounting block. A thorough walking warmup or hack helps YML feel best at a trot during flatwork sessions.
Yes My Love has settled in well to our farm. She was turned out the day she came in and was quickly accepted into our mare herd. She is getting along well with the herd, and we haven’t noticed any vices, though she is aware of where her field mates are at all times, as many mares are.
Yes My Love is respectful of her handlers and walks nicely on a lead rope. She stands politely for her grooming and bathing sessions. She may be nervous at first when being tacked up but is easily soothed. She seems to enjoy being with people and can be pet, hugged and fed treats by just about anyone – a quiet and patient mare when in a familiar situation.
She is looking for a partner for her next adventure for any age appropriate discipline.
