15.3 hands. She last worked on 4/21/23 and retired with a fractured left front fetlock. We do have x-rays.
Shi Shi is a cute little mare that is getting used to farm life. She is very sweet when loved on and enjoys a good treat. She is well bred and should be suitable for riding once properly rehabilitated from her injury.
Shi Shi is currently turning out with other mares of all ages and does well. On her first ride off the track she did wonderfully. She took everything in stride and seemed to enjoy being back under saddle. She is currently only sound at the walk on flat ground and will need more time before getting back to full work. Once fully healed, she should be suitable for any discipline.
Shi Shi was excellent for tacking up and was a bit lazy under saddle. She was brave while out on a farm hack and didn’t shy away from anything. She is sensitive to brushing and will swish her tail at you so she will need kind correction for this.
She enjoys looking out her windows and watching what is happening around her. She is quiet in the barn and keeps to herself. Shi Shi seems fairly laid back and sensible. She is respectful of her handlers and walks calmly on a lead rope.
Shi Shi can get started back trail riding while she continues to heal her fetlock. As time goes on she should be able to do a bit more. If not, she will make a fabulous trail horse for most any rider with training.
