16 hands. He last worked on 11/15/25 and retired with a small apical fragment in the right front medial sesamoid. In May of 2025, he had a right front fetlock chip removed. Ghost has healed well and should have no athletic limitations if his return to work is completed carefully. He is currently walking and trotting under saddle in the ring and on trails. He can begin canter work mid May.
Ghost is a graded stakes winner with earnings of $156,752 and is from a long line of Classic race winners. He is bred to be a hard worker, and his demeanor since he’s been with us has shown him to be very intelligent, pleasant to work with, and able to adapt to new settings quickly.
Ghost has done very well in training – he is relaxed, cooperative and interested in exploring the farm. He walks over poles nicely in the arena and rides out well alone and with other horses. He is now serving as babysitter to other more nervous horses on their first trail rides. He also recently enjoyed his first bareback farm ride – no nonsense – a trustworthy guy.
Ghost is polite and gentle while being groomed, tacked up, fed, walked to the pasture, etc. He loves peppermints and waits politely while his friends have theirs, too. He is moderately playful in the field. He currently turns out with two unraced youngsters over night – our most gentle group.
