16 hands. He last raced on 5/15/25 and retired with left front fetlock arthritis and suspensory desmitis and a left front suspensory tear. He has had surgery in the past for a condylar fracture and there are 2 screws in the leg. He is currently on stall until 12/11. He is doing well. He will be ready for round pen or very small paddock turnout on 12/12.
Techne is a true sweetheart and is easy to work with and be around. He stands nicely when he is being groomed and having his legs wrapped. He enjoys looking out his stall door and window and watching what is happening on the farm. He stays quiet in his stall and is respectful of his handlers.
Techne is a huge lover of treats, and he enjoys being around people.
Techne will be best suited as a companion.
HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS EVENT: All horses will be half off the listed adoption fee if adopted and picked up by 12/15/25. Limited use horses and companions will have a waived fee for qualified and responsible homes that can commit to a lifetime home or will return the horse to Second Stride if no longer able to keep the horse and can’t find an appropriate home.
