ADOPTED!
Husband horse or trail riding extraordinaire! Taman is a kind, easy going and sensible gelding who would be perfect in a family setting, or on long treks through state parks. On his first trail ride, he was willing and brave, tackling fields, woods, beehives and a lake with no problem. He was happy in the middle of the group and also took the lead. He has a big, steady, comfortable walk, keeps his cool when horse flies are around, and he stayed at the walk when others cantered by. He can be ridden on a loose rein and listens well to leg and seat aids.
On the ground, Taman is friendly and easy going. He gets along with a variety of pasture mates and is very polite with his handlers. Taman walks well on a lead rope, trailers well and doesn’t seem to have any vices. He has lived outside 24/7 for many years but also can be happy in a stall. Taman enjoys a nice grooming session and doesn’t seem to mind clippers. He stands well for the vet and farrier and seems to be an intelligent and classy middle-aged gelding.
Taman will be suitable for trail riding and light flatwork.
Taman is barefoot for now and doing fine. On rough footing, he would need the protection of shoes or hoof boots.
