16.3 he last worked 3/30/24 and retired with a right front, non-displaced lateral condylar fracture (fetlock). He is currently turned out with other geldings and doing well. He is currently on Equiox for comfort.
Surrogate is a very sweet gelding that will melt your heart upon first meeting. He is very kind and willing. He walks nicely on a lead rope and respects his handlers. He loves to be groomed, especially on the neck, and appreciates a nice hug. Surrogate would make a nice family/companion horse to a family who would like a horse to love on and ride. He is kind to everyone and allows anyone to work with him. He is one of the kindest horses we have ever had come through the program.
Under saddle, he has a big trot but he isn’t fast. He is well behaved and does what is asked of him. He has a soft mouth and responds well to leg pressure. Surrogate would make a nice family/companion horse to a family who would like a horse to love on and ride. He will also make a great husband horse as he is tall and strong.
He is quiet in his stall and doesn’t bother his neighbors.
Surrogate stands well for the vet and farrier.
