16 hands. She never raced and last worked 11/4/21. She retired with a right hind midbody lateral sesamoid fracture occurring 1/11/22. We have radiographs. There is a screw in the sesamoid, however the screw did not hold the fracture but should not be removed.
Sunrise is a very sweet filly who is lovely to work with. She stands patiently for grooming and for the vet and farrier. She is quiet in the stall and keeps to herself. She is getting use to farm life and is taking it all in stride.
She is currently on 60 days stall rest. The beginning of May she will transition to 30 days of handwalking. The beginning of June she will transition to small paddock turnout. She will be suitable for flat work only once proper rehab is completed. One year before returning to full training If okay with vet recheck.
