16.3 hands. He last raced on 3/17/24 and retired with swelling and arthritis in his left front fetlock. He is currently sound in the pasture and under saddle.
Stormy is an extraordinarily athletic, playful and kind gelding who has done very well in early training rides – he has a great work ethic, gives maximum effort, and is beginning to relax. For a skilled rider willing to help with joint support, Stormy brings a ton of natural talent and enthusiasm to the job.
Stormy is very polite and respectful of his handlers in the barn. He can be strong when walking to the field and arena. He is very patient at feed time and is easy to blanket and tack up. He LOVES to be groomed and has no tickle spots. Stormy is happiest in a field close to the barn.
Stormy will be best suited for flat work. He would be a fabulous dressage partner, given joint support.
Stormy will need a professional rider at this time to channel his energy and help him focus.
He was castrated on 5/6/24.
