16 hands. He last raced on 3/5/26 and retired sound. We were not told of any past injuries.
Silver is a laid back and intelligent gelding with a nice attitude and kind demeanor. He walked off the trailer calmly and without issue. He settled in quickly when turned out in a round pen to stretch his legs and has been very quiet in the barn as well. He walks politely on a lead rope and is very respectful of his handlers. He stood patiently and quietly for his ad page pictures and just seems like a very classy boy. He turns out with a group of geldings and gets along very well. He does have pin firing scars on the inside of his left front. We were told this was due to shin splints when race training.
Silver has a stocky, quarter horse build and has a short stride behind. If he is pointed towards a show career, he may benefit from hock injections. For trails and farm work, he should be fine without maintenance. Silver is well mannered under saddle and tries hard to accomplish what is being asked of him.
He is an earner of over $57,000 in only 8 races and proved himself to be a quick learner and barn favorite at the track.
Silver should be suitable for any discipline. A PPE is highly recommended for an athletic career. He will need shoes on all four feet due to low heels.
