15.3 hands. He retired with a nondisplaced left front sesamoid fracture that occurred on 10/27/21. He has no published works and never raced.
Shorty is a very a sensible, laid back gelding with a striking look to him. He carries himself with confidence and had no issues walking up our driveway upon arrival on a very windy day. He stays quiet in his stall and has settled in nicely. He is very kind to work with and causes no problems in the stall.
In early January, Shorty started small paddock turn out and is doing well. Shorty stays quiet while out, (he is by himself at this time). He settles down quickly to graze and is trotting soundly in the field. In early spring, with continued proper rehab and if the fracture is healing properly(will need new xrays), he may start slowly back to light riding. Our vet stated he should return to full athletic ability with proper rehab.
Ride eval pending.
