15.3 hands. He retired with a nondisplaced left front sesamoid fracture that occurred on 10/27/21. He has no published works and never raced.
Shorty is a very a sensible, laid back gelding with a striking look to him. He carries himself with confidence and had no issues walking up our driveway upon arrival on a very windy day. He stays quiet in his stall and has settled in nicely. He is very kind to work with and causes no problems in the stall.
Shorty currently is on stall rest for 30 days. Early December he will start hand walking for 30 days. Early January, if the fracture is healing properly, he will begin 30 days round pen turnout. Early February, if healing properly, he can be turned out in a small paddock for 30 days. After 4 months proper rehab and if the fracture is healing properly he may start slowly back to light riding. Our vet stated he should return to full athletic ability with proper rehab.
Ride eval pending.
