16 hands. He last raced on 8/24/24 and retired sound. He does have a history of a condylar fracture in 2023.
Rock has settled in well to our farm and is enjoying retirement. He is quiet in his stall and when turned out. We haven’t noticed any vices. He walks respectfully on a lead rope. He gets a long well with other geldings and enjoys being with his friends.
Rock is a good-looking boy with an attitude to match. He can be mouthy in the stall and while tacking up and grooming but this is improving with time spent with him. He has a lot of potential to excel but will be a horse that needs daily groundwork or rides to move his transition along smoothly.
Rock is still very racetrack minded and very strong under saddle. He will require an advanced level rider at this time who has experience working with energetic ottbs. Someone who is patient and kind and can keep him stay on task and allow him to learn.
He should be suitable for any discipline. A PPE is recommended for a sport use.
