16.1 plus hands. She last raced on 7/19/17 at Woodbine and is a retiring broodmare. She can never be bred due to severe complications from her last foaling.
River is a lovely mare that gets along well with others in the field. She is calm and easy going. She walks well on a lead rope and is respectful of her handlers. She does well outside 24/7 or part time in a stall. She is quiet in her stall and settles down quickly to graze at turnout. We have not seen any vices.
River has been restarted but does have some kissing spine in her lumbar region. This will limit her to light trail riding if she stays sound or companion/therapy use. She is currently best suited for companionship, non-riding therapy or showmanship.
We were not told of any injuries in her racing past.
She stood well for the vet.
