16.1 hands. She had one race in 2012 and retired sound. We are not aware of her injury history. She did have 9 foals, the last being in 2024. and is eligible for the RRP broodmare division! We do not have her papers.
Red has settled in well to our farm. She fits in well with our mare herd and doesn’t seem to be a bully or get picked on herself. She is quiet when in the stall and settles down quickly to graze. She doesn’t seem to mind being in a stall during the day. She has proven to be an easy keeper.
Red walks nicely on a lead rope and enjoys being groomed. She was good for the vet and farrier.
She was nice and relaxed while being tacked up for the first time in many years. She enjoyed being under saddle and did very well. She is a good listener and does what is asked of her. She is soft in the mouth but a bit weak behind due to lack of exercise. This will improve with work. She was a fun ride and may do well for lessons or a husband horse.
She is suitable for any age-appropriate discipline.
All horse’s adoption fees are reduced by half through September. Companion horse fees are waived to responsible adopters.
