15.3 hands. He last raced on 1/14/26 and retired in May with a suspensory injury. He is currently turning out and doing well. He should not do more than a walking under saddle with a few minutes of trotting until 7/3/26.
He was castrated 6/4/26.
Orie settled in quickly to our farm and has settled down nicely post gelding. He is quiet in his stall and when in the field. He is turning out to be quite lazy and easy going. He walks very slowly and calmly on the lead rope. He was well mannered for the vet and farrier and is quiet for grooming and bathing. He seems to be an intelligent and classy guy.
Orie seems to love people and horses alike. There was no drama when first meeting his pasture mate just 3 weeks post gelding. He should get along with most any gelding. He doesn’t seem to want to be the herd boss and prefers to follow his buddy around the field playing and grazing.
His first ride went well. He was calm and well mannered.
He should be suitable for lower levels once fully healed. He may work well as a lesson horse once he has more training rides under a professional trainer. He may also work for a family that is working with a trainer.
A PPE is highly recommended for athletic use.
