16 plus hands. He never raced and last worked on 10/31/24, retiring with mild bone bruising in his fetlocks that should not limit future non-racing performance, and mild arthritis in his right knee. He has been turned out and making friends over the last year.
Monaco is a friendly gelding who is respectful of his handlers and pasture buddies. He caused no drama when first meeting new pasture mates and settled in quickly to graze. He does like to play but isn’t rough. He doesn’t like to be turned out alone and needs at least one friend. He seems to be an easy keeper. He is quiet in his stall and doesn’t bother his neighbors. A pleasurable horse to have in the barn.
On his first ride in over a year, he was well-behaved and listened well. He rode soundly and did not spook or react to anything outdoors. Seems to be an intelligent and athletic boy.
Monaco should be suitable for mid level athletics. A PPE is always recommended to confirm suitability for competitive goals.
