16.1 hands. He last worked on 6/16/23 and retired with a left front non-displaced sesamoid and canon bone fracture. He did have surgery. There is a rod with several screws in the leg. We do have X-rays. His rehab is complete and he is currently sound at the walk only.
Myopic is a gorgeous gelding deserving of love and attention. He is good for grooming, blanketing and for the farrier. He can be quite skittish of noises coming from his right side as he is blind in the right eye. He is respectful of his handlers and enjoys a good treat. He does well out with another gelding and enjoys playing and running through the field. Myopic can be grumpy at times so he may need a intermediate level rider. Myopic does seem to love children and is very well behaved with them.
Myopic is brave under saddle and a relaxed, easy ride. He does look at things but bravely passes by. He seems to enjoy a nice ride and being out and about.
He is quiet in his stall and settles down quickly to graze. He does like to get rambunctious and pull on his buddies halters so he would do best with a horse that can play back.
Myopic will be sound for walk only, no trotting. He would make a great companion to a working horse as well.
