16.1 hands. He last worked on 6/16/23 and retired with a left front non-displaced sesamoid and canon bone fracture. He did have surgery. There is a rod with several screws in the leg. We do have X-rays. His rehab is complete and he is currently sound at the walk only. He has a large cataract in his right eye which has caused vision loss in that eye.
Myopic is a gorgeous gelding deserving of love and attention. He stands well for grooming, blanketing and for the farrier but can be nippy at times when in his stall. On the ground and under saddle he behaves very well. He is respectful of his handlers and enjoys a good treat. He does well out with another gelding and enjoys playing and running through the field. Myopic does seem to love children and is very well behaved with them.
Myopic is brave under saddle and a relaxed, easy ride. He does look at things but bravely passes by. He seems to enjoy a nice ride and being out and about.
He is quiet in his stall and settles down quickly to graze. He does like to get rambunctious and pull on his buddies’ halters so he would do best with a horse that can play back. He is also a compassionate gelding as he has a way to calm others when newly turned out in the field.
Myopic will be sound for walk only. He would make a great companion to a working horse as well.
He tilts his head in the cutest way to compensate for his vision loss.
