16 hands. He last raced on 7/15/23 and retired with a broken right front sesamoid. He is currently turning out with other geldings and does very well.
Ira qualifies for our home for the holidays event where the fee will be half off through 12/31/23. If you bring your trailer the day of appointment and take home you will get an additional $100 off.
Ira is an energetic boy but is kind. He will need an experienced handler due to his energy level. He is good for grooming and doesn’t seem to have any vices. He enjoys looking out his stall door and watching what is happening around the farm. Ira seems like he will be a fun partner to take adventures with once he settles into off track riding. He will be suitable for any discipline on the flat once rehab is completed, and he is sound.
Ira will need time and patience under saddle. He is extremely green along with being energetic and will require a professional or highly experienced rider that can handle strong willed, high energy horses. He is riding sound and doing well and with work, should become a nice partner.
