Mischief Mac

3 year old thoroughbred gelding bred in TX
Tiz Mischief (Into Mischief) out of Devout Diva by Holy Bull
Eligible for the Retired Racehorse Project's
THOROUGHBRED MAKEOVER COMPETITION!

16.2 hands and growing. He last worked on 9/20/25. We are not aware of any injury history. He is sound.

Eventers take note! Mischief Mac is showing real potential for success physically and mentally – he has made good progress in under two months of training and is riding well with a forward walk, trot and canter both directions. He is happily ridden by skilled non-professionals, who comment “so light,” “so responsive,” “like a dream,” and “I’ll ride him for free anytime.” Safe to say he’s a barn favorite here! Pretty impressive for  a three year old.

Mac has settled in well to retirement and is enjoying the laid back lifestyle of the farm. He walks nicely on a lead rope and enjoys having a good bath and being groomed. He is gentle with his two-year-old gelding pasture mate. He is quiet in his stall and enjoys touching noses with his neighbors. A lovely guy to have around the barn.

Mac is sensitive to cold and will need careful blanketing this winter. He is young, tall and growing and will need two substantial grain meals and free choice hay at least through his fourth year. He will need a stall that is minimum 12′ x 12′ with a window or door he can put out of, or pasture board with adequate shelter.

He is respectful of his handlers and stood well for the vet and farrier.

HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS EVENT: All horses will be half off the listed adoption fee if adopted and picked up by 12/15/25.
