15.2 hands. She last raced November 2021 at Belmont Park and retired with a knee chip and arthritis.
Red has settled in a LOVES farm life. She is a great companion to other mares in the field. Red enjoys hacking around the farm, alone or with a friend, and she very much enjoys trotting over ground poles and cross rails. She needs a calm, confident and experienced trainer that can help her set and maintain boundaries. With guidance she has excellent ground manners and loves human interaction.
She is very athletic but wants to know and NEEDS to know where to be. Leg is the key with Red, not for go but for reassurance. She steers more off the leg than reins. She is not for a timid rider. She relies heavily on her rider for instruction. She will do best with someone who can work with her several days a week. She is a very forward ride.
She walks nicely on a lead rope.
She may need injections for an athletic career. Please consult with your vet.
