16.1 plus hands. He last worked on 10/18/25 and retired sound due to exercised induced pulmonary hemorrhaging when racing. This is not expected to be an issue in a show discipline.
Larry is well-behaved gelding who was a race winner of over $104,000. A true hard worker with excellent potential. He is gentle, respectful and pleasant in every way to work with. He has a settled, mature personality that make him a very good fit for a skilled youth or amateur adult handler/rider.
Larry was well behaved under saddle after a 30 day rest and showed a willingness to listen to his rider. He did well when ridden outside on a slightly windy day. An intelligent boy with a great attitude and willingness to learn! His first ride with us with energetic but the second and third showed Larry to be a quiet, trustworthy fellow who is forward with a big trot but very responsive to the first hint of “whoa.”
Larry is well behaved for grooming, blanketing and walking on a lead rope. He is quiet in his stall and is a good friend in the pasture to two other quiet geldings. He is often the one to stand watch as they lay down to nap. He loves a good treat, mints and snuggles. He has excellent ground manners and is big sweetheart! He is well behaved for the vet and farrier.
Larry is suitable for any non-racing discipline; however, a PPE is recommended for sport use.
