16.2 hands. He never raced but does have published works. He retired with a bowed tendon just under the knee on the left front on 9/15/21. We do have scans.
Our tendon protocol states once he is finished with stall rest in early November, then, if quiet, will start his round pen turnout for 30-60 days. After a reevaluation, if healing properly, will transition to small paddock turnout for another 30-90 days. At 4 months post injury, if vet agrees, will start ground work, 6 months light riding, 1 year before returning to full work. Please consult your vet for additional rehab guidelines.
He is still settling in to farm life, but stays fairly quiet while in the stall. He will need an experienced handler continue to work on his manners. Stood well for our vet and enjoyed his grooming.
Ride eval pending.
