16.3 hands. He last worked on 3/16/24 and retired with 2 left hind small apical sesamoid fractures. We do have x-rays. He also has fibrotic myopathy on the right hind. This condition causes his right hind to move abnormally at the walk in colder weather, but it does not affect him at the trot and canter. It is similar to string halt. He will be best suited for flat work and should not ever jump due to the sesamoid.
He is turning out with other geldings and does well. He can get started back under saddle at all gaits.
Klugman is a handsome boy with a very kind disposition. He is quiet in his stall and when in the round pen. He does have a bit of energy to him on the ground but he listens well and is respectful of his handlers. Klugman keeps to himself in his stall and calmly sniffs noses of his neighbors without issue. He is a lovely boy inside and out.
Klugman did well on his first ride and was willing and listened very well. He has a nice forward trot and walk. Klugman has a huge, balanced trot that is easy to ride. He would make a great horse for beginners to teach them how to post as his trot pushes you out of the saddle. Klugman doesn’t seem to want to go anywhere fast and listens well under saddle. He seems sensible in the arena and isn’t spooky at all. A classy boy, he should be able to handle any level rider and take care of them. If you like the tall ones, then Klugman may be the horse for you!
Klugman does well in cross ties and is very good for grooming and saddling up. He is gentle enough for children to groom and may do well as a lesson horse.
Klugman stands well for the vet and farrier.
