16 plus hands. He last worked on 7/1/25 and was retired. He has 2 screws in his right front ankle due to a condylar fracture in 2024. He has a left front tendon irritation that occurred in late July 2025.
Istan settled into farm life beautifully. He is quiet in his stall, friendly with his pasture mates, and is well behaved for his handlers. He stands still for grooming but does like to play with your hair, shirt, etc. He seems to be an easy keeper and will be a fun horse to work with. He has that type of personality that draws everyone to him and they will instantly fall in love!
Istan will need an advanced rider at this time. He is doing well moving forward from the leg at a walk and trot and is responsive for downward transitions. A rider who can continue to teach basics will help him reach his full potential. He should be suitable for any non-racing discipline.
Istan is a true gem, and his family will absolutely adore him!
