16 hands. He last worked on 6/15/25 and retired with a slab fracture, right knee, that occurred on 7/7/25. He did have surgery and does have a screw in the knee. He is finishing up round pen turnout and will be ready for full turnout and light riding on 11/2/25.
Lucky is the eye candy of the barn, and no one walks by him without giving him a pat and telling him just how handsome he is! This hasn’t gone to his head, however, as he is a relaxed and gently guy. He is walking nicely and enjoys a good bath and grooming session. He has done well on round pen turnout and enjoys watching what is going on around the farm. He enjoys attention and will lower his head for kisses and scratches.
Depending on his soundness after rehab, he will be suitable for any discipline.
HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS EVENT: All horses will be half off the listed adoption fee if adopted and picked up by 12/15/25. Limited use horses and companions will have a waived fee for qualified and responsible homes that can commit to a lifetime home or will return the horse to Second Stride if no longer able to keep the horse and can’t find an appropriate home.
