I’m A Fan Of A Jab

3 year old thoroughbred gelding bred in KY
Accelerate (Lookin At Lucky) out of Curlin's Princess by Curlin
Eligible for the Retired Racehorse Project's
THOROUGHBRED MAKEOVER COMPETITION!

15.2 hands. He last worked on 11/3/23 and retired with a left front condylar fracture. It was repaired with screws.  He is currently turning out with other geldings and doing well. We do have x-rays.

He was castrated in early May.

Jab is a cute little guy with a kind personality. He is well behaved and does what is asked of him. Jab enjoys treats and looking out his stall door to see what’s going on around the barn. He is easy to handle and is respectful of his handlers. He likes to be your shadow and will be in your business at all times.

Jab is intelligent and is kind while being groomed. He respects his handlers and is quiet in his stall and gets along well with others in the field.

On his first ride post rehab he did very well and rode soundly. He was calm, relaxed and easy to ride. He had a nice steady trot and listened well. A nice little gelding to bring along.

Jab can start slowly back under saddle and by late spring, early summer, if moving soundly, he can begin to canter. Jab should be suitable for any discipline.
