16.2 hands. He last worked on 3/22/24 and retired sound. He does have a history of a torn ligament across the knee. He is currently sound on the leg.
Rip is a good looking and gorgeous boy with a lovely disposition. He seems kind and easy going and is enjoying settling into farm life. He has been respectful of his handlers and walks politely when out. He stays quiet in his stall and settles down quickly. He seems to enjoy interacting with his handlers and has a silly personality. He was well behaved for grooming, and we haven’t noticed any vices.
Rip did well when being introduced to a herd of geldings and was accepted quickly. He does like to play but he doesn’t seem to be bossy.
Rip will benefit from groundwork to help him with his transition and learn to relax. He was well behaved on his first ride and did well trying to figure out what was being asked of him. At this time, he will need an intermediate to advanced rider. He has a soft mouth and responds well to leg cues and moves forward nicely. He enjoys looking at himself in the arena mirror as he is quite handsome and apparently, he knows it!
