16.2+ hands. He last worked on 2/19/26. He had a left front fetlock chip removed, with mild residual arthritis. He has completed his rehab and is ready to return to work.
Herb has shown himself to be a gentleman and easy to work with. He is kind and easy going. He was well behaved for bathing and grooming and walks politely on a lead rope. He is quiet in his stall and when turned out. He is respectful of his handlers and seems to be intelligent.
Under saddle, Herb is green but willing, responsive and brave in new settings. During his first off-track ride, he was sensible and forward, with no silliness. He got both his leads easily, and walked over poles after some thought. He walked out alone on a short hack without concern.
Herb is an athletic horse suitable for a sport career. He was a grade 1 lame on the left front ankle at his entrance exam, rested with pasture turnout for three weeks, and is now sound, riding well at a walk, trot and canter in both directions.
A PPE is as always recommended for sport use.
