17 hands. He last raced on 10/15/16. He has a history of knee chips that were removed. He has been showing for several years and was donated as a fundraiser to Second Stride as his owner was ready to advance to a higher level.
Show Sanctioned Open Beginner Novice at Majestic Oaks January 2021. Scored 33 in dressage. No time penalties in either jump division, no cross-country penalties. 8 points in stadium jumping.
Sydney has had 4 years of top shelf care/traveling schooling/mini trials/clinics and professional education in the world of Three Day Eventing. Despite his physical appeal he just didn’t shine in the sport as an upper level prospect as predicted. However, he is honest and always did what was asked of him. Sydney is a safe, sane and sensible ride with no spook. He has varying riding styles where he can be lazy or tense in the ring.
He trailers well and gets along well with other geldings in the field. We have not seen any vices in or out of the stall.
Our vet found no issues and he stood well for the farrier.
