16.2 hands. He last worked on 12/10/21. He retired with a left front suspensory injury in August 2022. He does have a hole in the suspensory. He has an old RF medial splint. He is currently sound and all injuries have healed.
Gus is a confident and extremely intelligent gelding. His riders report that he has very good power and range of movement under saddle. He is working well at the walk, trot and canter. The energy he brings to arena work makes him suitable for experienced riders. Gus would be a fabulous dressage partner, but we can also see him enjoying ranch work or any athletic activity that also engages his mind.
Gus enjoys being groomed and spending time with his person. He is well behaved in the stall. He does like to be a more dominant horse in the herd. He stands well for the vet and farrier.
Gus is ready to train in any discipline on the flat.
Gus has an anonymous donor that will pay the adoption fee for a responsible, trustworthy adopter that will keep Gus long term.
