16.2 hands. He last worked on 12/10/21. He retired with a left front suspensory injury in August 2022. He has been fully rehabbed and is ready to start with light riding and groundwork. He will need another 2 months before jumping. He has an old RF medial splint.
Gus is a handsome guy with a fun personality. He is turned out with other geldings and gets along fine. He is quiet while out and keeps to himself in the stall. Gus is good for grooming and bathing. He stands well for the vet and farrier. A true gentleman.
Gus can start back to light riding at the walk and trot. He can resume full training in May if sound. He appears to be sound for any use. We do not have scans so a PPE is recommended for athletic use.
He will be best suited for an intermediate to advanced rider at this time.
Second Stride will pay for Gus to participate in the RRP. He is also half off to any repeat adopters in good standing through May 1.
