16.3 hands. He last raced in 2020 and retired sound. He has not been under saddle in 4 years. He is a cribber, controlled with a strap. He does have arthritis in his right front fetlock that will limit him to trails only. We do have x-rays.
Garrick is a big, bodied boy that looks perfect for a great trail horse. He walks well on a lead rope and is respectful of his handlers.
Garrick is well behaved in his stall and while turned out. He gets along well with other geldings and settles down quickly to graze. He has been barefoot for the last few years and seems to be an easy keeper. He was good for grooming, vet and farrier.
Garrick is playful when tacking up and enjoys being with his person. He is calm and quiet when outside under saddle and at times. needs encouragement when encountering new things. He didn’t mind a windy day and does fine when out alone on a ride. An enjoyable horse to enjoy a lazy trail ride with.
He is sound at the walk only at this time.
