16.2 hands. He last raced on 7/20/23 and retired sound. He is currently suffering from sleep deprivation as he doesn’t lie down to sleep. He will need extra bedding in his stall and/or 24 hour turnout if he get along well with his pasturemates. He needs to feel safe while out and have a comfortable, quiet barn to come in to at this time.
Frankie qualifies for our home for the holidays event where the fee will be half off. If you bring your trailer the day of appointment and take home you will get an additional $100 off.
Frankie has been restarted walk, trot and canter and does well in the arena. He accepts contact with the bit and responds to cues for gait changes. He is working on developing his balance at the canter and on circles. He should be suitable for any discipline he enjoys and can relax while doing. He is a horse that will benefit from regular work, at least several days each week.
Frankie will need to keep four shoes on due to having flat feet with under run heels. He will also need a home with plenty of space for turnout.
Frankie is a good boy who loves to be the center of attention. Apples seem to be his favorite treat; carrots are also highly acceptable. He is kind and respectful of his handlers and doesn’t have any vices that we have seen. He is quiet in his stall and, if comfortable with his pasture mates, settles in quickly to graze.
