15 hands and growing. He has no races or published works. He was retired due to a fractured left knee. Flash has wobbler syndrome but is stable, pain-free and enjoys a normal life of pasture turnout, stall time and low intensity ground training like stretches, games, and obstacle courses.
Flash is a gentle young gelding who is a pleasure to have in the barn. He is turning out with another rising two year old, and they spend their days playing and grazing in the field. He is very well-behaved for grooming and the vet and walks nicely on a lead rope. With patient practice, Flash learned to accept a blanket this winter. He accepts new situations very well with quiet encouragement. Flash loves quiet moments with his people, and is a sweet soul.
Flash recently trailered to a different facility. He loaded beautifully on a two horse straight-load with a ramp, and he settled in immediately in his stall and with a new friend in the pasture. His trust and confidence were impressive!
Flash will be best suited for a non-riding home. He’d be a wonderful friend for another gentle horse, and could be a friendly welcome greeter for your home farm or perhaps a bed and breakfast. He would also be suitable for in-hand type disciplines like obstacles and competitive trail. We know with the right person he will shine!
Flash is working on having his feet picked and trimmed. His adopter will need to be patient and experienced with this type of training.
His adoption fee will be waived for a proven, responsible adopter who will agree to keep him for the entirety of his life or return him to our program.
