16.1 1/2 hands. He last worked on 3//24/23 and retired with a fractured left front long pastern. He has finished his rehab and is now sound and turning out with others. He does have 4 screws in that leg and possible screws in his right front as well. We do have x-rays.
Caber is a kind boy and a straightforward ride for a solidly intermediate level rider. He enjoys his job and is cooperative, though sometimes strong when ridden outside. This is a fantastic horse for an experienced adult ride who wants a horse they can trust and have fun with. He is brave over poles and seems to enjoy the challenge.
Caber is pleasant to work with and loves attention, people, goats and other horses. A big fan of peppermints as well! He seems to be levelheaded and doesn’t spook easily.
Caber has settled in well to our farm and enjoyed his grooming session and didn’t shy away from the measuring stick. He seems curious and intelligent. He gets along well with the geldings he goes out with.
Caber’s fracture did not involve the joint and healed very well. He should be suitable for lower level disciplines but a PPE is recommended for a jumping future.
