16.2 plus hands. He last ran on 6/3/22 and retired sound. He does currently have a stiff gait that we will reassess in November.
Halo is a laid back and very kind gelding. Low man on the totem pole type in the field. He is very respectful of his handlers and walks well on a lead rope. He has no problem leaving the field or barn.
He enjoys his grooming sessions. He enjoys a good bath and doesn’t mind clippers. A very good boy.
Halo had a great first off-track ride, first in the arena, then out in a grassy field. Ridden in a rubber snaffle, he moved between gaits willingly and kept a nice even pace, even outdoors. Halo should be suitable for trails or athletic activities. He is willing, listens well, and is level-headed in new surroundings.
