16.1 hands. He last worked on 11/30/24 and never raced. He retired with a right front suspensory branch injury and has a history of a left suspensory branch injury. He is currently sound. He has heave marks on his side and, though we have not seen him have issues with coughing, he should live and work in a low-dust environment. He is ready to start under saddle and get back to training.
Sammy is built like a quarter horse, and we think he will make a great western horse. He rides quietly and has a forward walk and trot. He listens well and does what is asked of him. A fun guy to work with and will be a great project to bring along and take along the trails or show ranks!
Sammy is a fun horse to be around and seems to be quite playful in the field. He isn’t the boss but isn’t on the bottom of the herd either. He gets along well with his pasture friend and settles in quickly to graze. He is easy to catch when out and walks nicely on a lead rope. He is quiet in the stall and seems to be an easy keeper.
Sammy was good for grooming and stood well for the vet and farrier. He has a fun personality, and we think his next owner will hit the jackpot with this horse!
