16 hands. He last raced on 12/26/24 and retired sound. We are not aware of any injuries in his past.
Berrettini is a kind horse to work with on the ground and has been very respectful of his handlers. We were told at the track; he is strong under saddle and will take advantage of an inexperienced rider. He does not like his ears clipped. On his first ride with us, however, he was well behaved in an indoor arena and listened well to his rider. He has a lovely way of moving across the ground and looks to make a nice sport horse option. Athletic and seemingly brave, a wonderful prospect to bring along.
Berrettini is quiet in his stall and gets along well with his neighbors. He seems to be a reserved horse but not shy, just taking in his new surroundings. An enjoyable horse to get to know.
He should be suitable for any discipline; however, a PPE is recommended for an athletic career.
