16 hands. He last raced on 6/15/24 and was retired. We are not sure of his injury history. He is off at the trot at this time most likely due to arthritis in his fetlock.
He was castrated in April 2025.
A gorgeous dark gray boy with wonderful dapples and huge blaze, he is sure to catch everyone’s eye no matter where he goes. Bel is a kind boy with a sweet soul. He is currently turned out alone as he needs time to adjust to being a gelding. Bel is pleasant to work with and be around. He can get pushy and will need someone who can properly and respectfully help him maintain boundaries and respect for handlers. He is well mannered for grooming, tacking up, vet and farrier.
Under saddle, he was well behaved on his first ride in about a year. He listened to his rider and tried hard to do what was being asked of him. He was relaxed and wasn’t spooky and took things in stride. He was brave walking over ground poles and walked over them like a pro.
Bel will make the world’s most beautiful trail horse and is ready to meet his new partner and add some eye candy to his new barn!
