16 hands. He last worked on 2/2/25 and retired with right front fetlock minor arthritis and left front fetlock arthritis. He also has some swelling in the right hind fetlock from an old injury; the swelling is not in the joint and is not an issue. He will need his teeth floated in early fall.
Atone has shown himself to be a true champion as he won the 2023 Pegasus World Cup and earned over $1.5 million! He was ranked 64th in earnings in 2023.
Atone settled in well to our farm and is proving himself to be a champion on the ground as well. He is well behaved on a lead rope, stands nicely for the vet and farrier. He is well behaved for grooming; however, he would like a pacifier to keep him busy. A respectful sole to his handlers and an overall lovely horse to be around.
He remains quiet in his stall and doesn’t bother his neighbors. He is quiet while turned out and settles in quickly to graze. He doesn’t seem reactive when meeting new friends and seems quite intelligent.
You will quickly fall in love with this handsome and personable fellow.
He should be suitable for flat work and possibly low level jumping. A PPE is highly recommended for an athletic career.
