16 hands. He last worked 5/4/24 and retired with arthritis in his right knee. Due to a now-healed left stifle fracture he is currently suitable for light trail riding.
Act Three is a gentle, affectionate and intelligent gelding who loves to be pet and groomed. He enjoys overnight turnout with his gelding friend and is absolutely shining during his daytime turnout as manny to a weanling colt.
Act Three would be a wonderful addition to a family farm as a trail horse or family horse.
Act Three did great on his first rides under saddle and seemed to enjoy being back to work. He is well behaved under saddle with a tiny bit of spice. At first attempt, he was afraid of the ground poles but quickly conquered his fear, took on the challenge and did great! He seems to be a quick learner and very willing. Currently, he isn’t sound at the trot and should be used for walking trails on moderate terrain. He can step over small logs, go through creeks, etc., but it would best to avoid large hills. One to two rides per week would be ideal.
Spending most of his time in the pasture will help Act Three with stiffness in his stifle, but he does enjoy napping in a stall after finishing his grain.
Act Three is polite for the vet and farrier. He leads and ties well. He is gentle when receiving treats. He loads and ships well.
He was castrated in late May 2024.
