Growing, expected to finish at at least 16 hands tall. He had staples put in both knees as a foal that have since been removed, 7/16/24. He has no known soundness issues and is vet-approved for any non-racing discipline.
Sasha is the smartest, most sensible and cooperative yearling we’ve worked with to date. He learns very quickly, and his first response is always one of trust and willingness. He is very affectionate and is the first one to come when called in the field.
Sasha has achieved the following benchmarks of yearling training: haltering, leading, turning to open and close gates, having his feet picked, standing for the farrier, bathing (including sponges and the hose), being groomed, having his temperature taken, spray bottles/fly spray, and moving away from from a whip or flag at a walk at liberty in the round pen.
Sasha is still working on: having his ears handled – he loves his face being pet and rubbed, but ears are still a sensitive area!
Sasha is available now to adopters experienced with yearlings. With his good breeding, excellent mind and lack of physical limitations, he could fulfill the dream of many riders who have been there, done that with competition – to raise and train their next sport partner from the very beginning. Sasha’s movement would be very pretty in the hunter ring.
Listed adoption fees will be half off the listed price if adopted and picked up through August 1.
