Growing!
Henry, born on Valentine’s Day 2024, is a playful and affectionate 5 month old who will be a clean slate once he is old enough to be started under saddle.
Henry currently shares a stall and pasture with his nurse mare, Serious Heat. He is ready to be weaned, should an adopter choose to adopt him separately. They are also available as a pair.
Henry is a rambunctious little guy who spends his days running through the field and grazing. A brave and curious youngster, he loves being around people – he enjoys belly rubs, being curried while he eats his grain, and taking naps with his human friends. Henry is comfortable being handled, ears to tail. He lifts his hind feet very nicely for picking. He is slower to lift the fronts but hold then holds them up well.
Henry walks politely on a lead rope next to his nurse mare, and has been good for the vet and farrier. He takes oral syringe medicines like dewormers and probiotics without fuss.
Once Henry has grown and developed, he should be suitable for any non-racing discipline.
We are currently taking applications on Henry from serious adopters who have experience with weanlings, yearlings, and starting horses under saddle. He will be available to leave once castrated.
