’20 Pale Moon

2 year old thoroughbred gelding bred in Kentucky
More Than Ready (Southern Halo) out of Pale Moon(GB) by Dansili(GB)

15  hands and growing. Moon never raced and has no published works.

A special gelding with a heart that aims to please. He is very kind and enjoys his grooming sessions. He stands well and likes to watch and see what you are doing. He stands by his stall door looking out to see the happenings going on around the barn. A curious fellow for sure! He is a gentleman for the vet and stands well for the farrier. He is not and cannot be broke to ride.

Moon is looking for a home where he could be used for showmanship, therapy, companionship or possibly welcoming visitors to your bed and breakfast. He was not fit for racing due to several issues. His left front fetlock has a large abaxial fracture medial sesamoid at the medial suspensory branch attachment. His left hock is severely compressed with some malformation and mild to severe degenerative joint disease. His right hock is also showing compression with malformation and mild to severe degenerative joint disease. Both hocks can be treated with injections. He is sound and is not bothered by his issues. Once the joints fuse; will determine if he can do more. We do have X-Rays.

Moon turns out well with other geldings and settles in quickly to graze. He was brave his first time seeing our arena while other horses were running in their pastures around him. A brave boy. He showed no hesitation walking over ground poles and was not spooky at all. He does like to stop and take things in but moves on without issue. He isn’t fazed by anything and just wants to be loved. He has stayed out 24/7 which he also enjoys. A true champion in his own right. He will bring a smile to your heart everyday.

Moon is a great partner and can teach children showmanship skills or help you get back into the equestrian world! He will make the perfect therapy horse. His demeanor is calm and easy going, he doesn’t get overly excited and has a ton of love to give!!
