16+ hands. He last worked on 10/10/25 and retired with left knee chips. He is currently turning out with others and doing well.
Elusive is a gorgeous dark bay with lots of bling who has done well with adjusting to retirement – quiet in the pasture and in the stall, walks quietly on a lead rope, polite at feed time, easy to blanket. He has slightly sensitive skin and appreciates soft brushes and curries. He stands well for the vet and farrier. Elusive is happy in a solo paddock in sight of others, or with other geldings.
Elusive is back from his winter home at the KY Derby Museum and is back under saddle where he is practicing being quiet and confident. His ideal career will be trail or leisurely farm riding. He’d also do well as a companion horse / pasture pet.
