16 hands. She last raced in 2020. We were not told of any injury history though she does have swelling in her left hock. She has 1 race under her girth with earnings of $273. She just wasn’t fast enough to continue racing. She did have a few foals and is eligible for the RRP Thoroughbred Makeover Broodmare Division!
Bella is a kind mare with a nice disposition. She seems to be intelligent and sensible. She turns out with another mare, and they do well together. She is quiet in her stall and spends time looking out her stall door and munching on hay. She walks nicely on a lead rope and enjoys being groomed and bathed. She stands politely for the vet and farrier. She is very respectful of her handlers.
Bella appears to be suitable for mid level athletics but is extremely green. She will need a professional trainer or rider for this stage of her education, so she progresses quickly, without confusion or frustration.
HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS EVENT: All horses will be half off the listed adoption fee if adopted and picked up by 12/15/25. Limited use horses and companions will have a waived fee for qualified and responsible homes that can commit to a lifetime home or will return the horse to Second Stride if no longer able to keep the horse and can’t find an appropriate home.
