15.3 hands. He last raced in 2018. We are not aware of his injury history.
He has had some retraining over the last 6 years and is currently sound. He floats across the ground with a forward trot. He is ready to get back to work in any age appropriate discipline. He seems to be well behaved around children.
Buckeye is a kind and easy gelding to work with. He is gentle and respectful of others. He is kind in the field and gets along well with all of his pasture mates. He stands politely for grooming, bathing, vet and farrier. He will make a wonderful family horse or riding companion. A fellow truly deserving of an easy lifestyle full of care and pampering.
HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS EVENT: All horses will be half off the listed adoption fee if adopted and picked up by 12/15/25. Limited use horses and companions will have a waived fee for qualified and responsible homes that can commit to a lifetime home or will return the horse to Second Stride if no longer able to keep the horse and can’t find an appropriate home.
