16.3 hands. He last raced on 10/1/24. He retired in February 2025 with a left front suspensory injury. He is currently turned out with a quiet gelding and does very well. He is currently sound at the walk and can begin slow, easy trail rides.
Haig is a tall boy with a bit of bling, a flashy guy. He is well behaved in his stall and walks respectfully on a lead rope. He is a quiet guy who is very kind and willing. His first ride under saddle was relaxed and easy. He stood nicely at the mounting block and didn’t try to hustle off. An easy, peaceful walking ride. He stays quiet in his stall and plays with his neighbor over the stall wall. He is quiet when out and we haven’t noticed any vices. He stood well for the vet and farrier. He seems to be highly intelligent and takes things in stride. Not reactive in any way and greets new friends with a calm demeanor and little drama.
He will make a nice horse for a husband or family horse. He is in no hurry to go anywhere and prefers a relaxed, easy ride.
He should be suitable for flat work. A PPE should be done if interested in pointing him to a jumping career.
