16.3 hands. He last raced on 10/1/24. He retired in February 2025 with a left front suspensory injury. He is currently turned out with a quiet gelding and does very well. He popped a splint in his righ front in August 2025. He is currently sound at the walk and can begin slow, easy trail rides.
Haig is a tall boy with a bit of bling, a flashy guy. He is a very easy horse to have in the barn – well behaved in his stall and walks respectfully on a lead rope. Haig is a good leader in the field who is gentle with his less athletic or dominant pasturemates.
Under saddle, Haig has been more energetic recently and would benefit from continuing training with an experienced rider once adopted. He seems to be highly intelligent – learns quickly, and will make quick proigress once he develops w/t/c soundness. He is currently working at a walk.
Haig stands well for the vet and farrier.
He should be suitable for flat work. A PPE should be done if interested in pointing him to a jumping career.
