16 hands. He last worked on 10/13/24 and retired with a torn, right front suspensory. He is currently turning out in a full field with other geldings. He can start back to full work in mid Spring. He can begin walk/slow trot now.
Dinkum is kind and easy going. He settled in quickly to our farm and hasn’t shown any vices. He is reported to be a bit of a light weight in the cold weather and would prefer to be in a stall at night if living in a colder climate. He is well behaved and respectful when being handled and stood well for blanketing. He will stand still all day for leg wrapping as if he intuitively knows what you need to do. He was good for grooming, vet and farrier. Dinkum was accepted quickly into our gelding herd and seems to get along well with everyone. A very kind and pleasant horse to have in your herd or barn.
Dinkum seems intelligent and inquisitive and should be suitable for any discipline if given the appropriate time to finish healing. A PPE is recommended for an athletic career.
