ADOPTED
16.1+ hands and growing. Trained but did not race, and retired sound. He showed no interest in racing.
This kind and sensible young gelding deserves a second glance from any sport-minded rider or trainer. He is built to perform and has an eager, willing approach to work. We would love to see Marathon in an eventing, hunter/jumper or dressage program – though he is still finding his balance and rhythm under saddle, he has a giant trot in the pasture that speaks of great things to come.
Marathon has settled in well to life off the track – he enjoys pasture time with two other geldings – playful, but within reason – and is happy in his stall at night. Marathon loves being groomed – even though he has sensitive skin on his face where halter would lie, he enjoys vigorous currying on his body, no tickle spots, and he will groom you back.
Marathon walks well on a lead rope and is respectful of his handlers.
He should be suitable for any non-racing discipline.
