16 hands. She last raced in April of 2021 and retired sound. We were not told of any injuries.
Cookie has been enjoying life post racing turned out and grazing! She has never been bred. We do not have her papers. Cookie has settled in well to our farm and turned out with other mares on day one and did very well. She is quiet while out and settles down quickly to graze. She enjoys being with her friends but does fine in a stall as well. She doesn’t bother her neighbors when in the stall and keeps to herself.
Cookie did well on her first ride in many years and seemed to enjoy herself. She has a nice even trot and canter and did what was asked of her. She has been cleared for any discipline and has an athletic way of moving across the ground.
She is a kind mare to work with and respects her handlers. She enjoys being groomed and bathed and by the size of her girth, we are sure she enjoys most any treat! She was well behaved for both the vet and farrier.
